Let It Grow

Hoiho made bread to do with their R.E learning. The yeast grows and makes the bread rise. Jesus tells us in a parable to spread the word of God. Here are some photos of the bread making.

We poured water into the scalded milk.
We smelt the yeast and some people thought it smelt strange.

We mixed the yeast and the sugar so there were no lumps.

We poured the scalded milk, sugar and yeast into the flour and salt.

We had to leave the dough in the sun so it could rise.

We tipped the dough out onto a table covered with flour.

We kneaded the dough with our palms.
We split the dough into three even parts followed by shaping the dough into rectangles and putting them in the tins so we could put them in the oven.
We spread cooking oil into the tins so when it cooked the bread didn't stick.

We cut up the bread into 30 pieces so that all the class could have a piece.

Hoiho class was happy with their bread that they made.
Mr Dorman enjoyed the bread.
